I am an illustrator living in Dorchester, Dorset, UK with my husband, and two young daughters. I have lived in Dorset since I was born in 1986, and from a young age I developed a passion for art, writing stories and drawing the pictures.
After A levels, I studied an Art and Design Diploma at Weymouth College, and then went on to do an FdA Degree in Visual Communication at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, followed by a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Illustration.
In November 2010, Christopher Tolkien, J R R Tolkien’s son, asked me to send some illustration ideas for The Hobbit. Three years later, in 2013, 150 of my illustrations were published in the first illustrated children’s edition of The Hobbit, along with the 2014 Tolkien calendar, and the Deluxe edition of The Hobbit. Then the paperback edition of The Hobbit with my illustrations was published, in 2017.
Since then, I have completed many other projects, including writing and illustrating my own children’s book, Tomatoes available to buy from Sea Shed. My client list includes Waterstones, Harper Collins and Sharpham Park.
